The Forms are designed to be quickly and easily filled in by scanning QR codes and they can also be sent by email or Whatsapp messages

All management content like recorded data can be accessed through the created Microsoft Team and is not visible to other employees, unless access is granted.

Reduce or Eliminate Paperwork

As the system is digitally-based (utilising Microsoft Forms and Teams at the backend), data can be submitted and stored digitally. Managing a busy civils company that is accredited to ISO Standards 9001, 45001 & 14001 generates the inevitable health and safety paperwork. Like many companies we are always striving to meet our health and safety obligations whilst keeping the form filling to a minimum and reducing the piles of paperwork that can be created.

Over the last month we have been working with Health and Safety Consultant Dessie Black to trial a new paperless system named ‘SafeTec Solutions’. We spent some time with Dessie and his IT team explaining our current system for managing health, safety, environmental and quality obligations and followed by a few sessions we tailored the system perfectly to our needs.

We have been trialling the system from January 2022, which allows site based staff to complete forms online that previously would have been completed manually, including site, plant, equipment and vehicle checks. We have also introduced Induction forms, Risk Assessments and various work permits to the system. The ‘SafeTec Solutions’ System has been working fantastically well. It’s easy to use and can be accessed at any time from a mobile device by scanning QR codes. It has removed the requirement to print out manual health and safety forms as well as the obvious labour saving cost to print and distribute paperwork to sites. The feedback from the site based staff has also been very positive. It is our intention to continue to work with Dessie and his team to add to the ‘SafeTec Solutions’ System by including a fully paperless induction which can be accessed remotely. This system has been a great investment for our business
